During this year\u2019s spring breaks, the family visited LEGO land Deutschland<\/a> and since it\u2019s overlapped with my birthday, I\u2019ve brought home a Millennium Falcon\u2122 model (7965)<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It takes around 3\u20134 hours of easy-going fun to assemble the set. Below you can see milestones and some functionalities that facilitate playing (instead of collecting dust on your shelf). The set features all main characters that inhabited the vessel at some point sans Lando (Desert Skiff set), C\u20133PO (Droid Escape set) and R2-D2 (Anakin\u2019s Jedi Starfighter and Anakin\u2019s Jedi Interceptor sets)<\/p>\n

The model includes all key areas: the cockpit (seats two), the Dejarik board and chairs (the \u201cLet the Wookie Win\u201d scene), the main ship console, the floor hiding compartment, the rotating quad laser cannons which Han and Luke used to fight back TIE fighters and the bed where Luke was resting after Leia picked him up after the duel with Darth Vader in the Cloud City on Bespin. Hence, the model is a great companion for the StarWars movie weekend with kids.<\/p>\n

The major drawback is the short landing gear. Despite the functional entrance hatch, it\u2019s impossible to play underneath the ship or for characters to enter through the main ramp. Inability to detach the cockpit arm to access the hallway, especially if a minifigure got stuck in there can be quite annoying. To keep in mind if you\u2019re about to contribute with your design in the future.<\/p>\n

Minifigures in our house can travel dimensions, so you can see a Borg (design by Luka D.<\/a>), Batman, Emmet from the LEGO Movie and girls from Friends series. Also, everyone are friends, so no need to surrender their weapons.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Little known fact: Wildstyle is a big fan of the Kenobi \/ Vader duel at the Death Star in The New Hope, so they re-acted some of that scene key shots for her.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
